UPTIME: jnbek - http://www.uptime-project.net
This is both the current and record uptimes for my home computer in Deming, New Mexico, Not the Cactuz.Org Server. I chose to sign up for this script as a way for me to monitor the stability of my installation and configuration. This site is in German and if you need, you can use the Bablefish Translation dialog on the links page below.
Music, Radio, and File Sharing
This page contains links and reviews of what I consider to be the best in file sharing applications and links to live radio streams from different countries throughout the world. It is my belief that music keeps the world a happier place and should be shared freely to all who wish to enjoy it. In my opinion, peer to peer networking helps to spread different types of music to people and places where such music was not accessible before. Therefore I support internet radio streams and peer to peer networking as a way of improving sales of music to new parts of the world. Vivè le P2P !!! :))
Your Connection to Exotic Teas
(This Page Under Construction.) It will provide links to various tea distributors and will tell a little about each tea featured.
International Copyright News
This page shows different views that pertain to software and music copyright laws. I try to be as un-biased as possible, but the greed of certain monopolies in the industry have clouded the truth regarding these matters. A popular industry contention is that P2P networking hurts the artists, but in reality, spreading US artists to countries where those artists have never been heard of before actually helps the artist because it helps to open the market in foreign countries to the music they produce, and large software mongers who profit off the ill-being of poor countries really should re-evaluate their necessities. Lowering the cost of software to developing nations could actually result in profits and put certain pirates to work for them for the benefit of the poor worker pirating the software, as well as the software makers themselves. Tough Call Here !!:/
Rebecca's Herb Corner
(This Page is Curently Under Construction.) This page will promote different herbs and vitamins that are beneficial to the well being of all humans. Links for consumers wishing to purchase such products will also be available. Natural healing is rapidly becoming a popular alternative to the often overpriced medications from the secular medical world.
Teknap Downloads and Help
TekNap is a programmable Napster client for UNIX systems and has been ported to Windows 95 and higher OS's, It has excellent administration capabilities, IRC compatitibility, and proves to be one of the most powerful P2P clients to date. I created this page since TekNap.Com is unavailable. The complete TekNap online Help pages are located here as well as links to download any known version of TekNap available. @_@
Zeus-X Project Homepage
Zeus-X is A GUI based version which takes up where TekNap left off with version 1.4. It is a project which certain Moderators from the DjNap Network have put together in the hopes of creating a server freindly client that will be programmable and very user friendly. Check back often for new developments of this awesome client. :))
More Wanderings Links
This is really just an ad for a really cool javascript I found. It is a bookshelf of links. Please feel free to surf the links, download, and use the script.
The UNIX vs Windows War
One of the most heated debates in the computer world-- Is UNIX or Windows the best operating system? Of course, it ultimately depends on the individual users themselves, but this page's purpose is to detail the various advantages and disadvantages of both worlds with, for the most part, an unbiased approach. I constantly moderate disscussions concerning this subject, and I have decided that this was a good medium for showing everyone's side on this touchy issue.
Weather NOT in Your Area
Ahhhh, my masterpeice. This page contains a little geography lesson as well as up to date weather conditions from obscure place around the world, with links to view the forecasts of each selected location. Also found here is Satellite Views and Doppler Radars from different countries and views of the globe as well as the current forecast for Iraq and surrounding areas. I had ALOT of fun making these pages and I hope you have as much fun surfing them as I did making them.
GNU, OpenSource, and FreeWare Stuff
FREE STUFF !!!! This Page is Currently under construction will include links to many different OpenSource apps, os's, and libraries for all platforms. Also PHP, CGI, and Java scripts, as well as any free software i can find.
Notes of My LAN Install
This page documents the tedious task of setting up a LAN in my home between differing chipsets and operating systems. Grrrr, this is for anyone having problems networking Linux to Windows. Good Luck, you're going to need it. :(
My Personal Page
This page just tells a little about me and my family.
My Favorite Movies
I decided to make this page because my movie tastes are a little diverse. Now i'm no top name movie critic but these movies have either really touched me or have some deep rooted grasp on me, now you don't have to agree with my views on these movies, but this is a little bit more of what makes me who I am, so enjoy.
